The 8600 Series VSM improves magnetometer performance and convenience. These VSMs combine high sensitivity (15 nemu),fast measurement speed (10 ms/pt) and simple operation for more accurate and faster measurements. The entire 8600 Series system has been redesigned with a focus on clean,ergonomic design to simplify researcher interaction with the system. A motorized head brings the sample to a comfortable height for easy one-handed exchange of QuickLIGN™ sample wands. Temperature options include cryostat,high temperature oven and single stage variable temperature insert. The combined temperature range of options is 4.2 K to 1273 K. All three GlideLOCK™ options slide quickly into place and are automatically detected,and the software automatically displays controls for the specific option. The poles are also easily adjustable with the ExactGAP™ index positioning system,which allows the pole gap to be set in one of six repeatable positions,eliminating the need for recalibration after each,this VSM was created with the primary goal of first-order inversion curve (FORC) measurement. The high sensitivity of the 8600 Series VSM greatly enhances FORC analysis. FORC also benefits from increased data point density,and the new VSM can run through complex FORC data acquisition sequences in a fraction of the time required by previous systems.
