Kipp & Zonen CSD 3 Solar Radiation Instrument

csd3 measures sunlight hours. WMO defines daylight hours as the time when direct solar radiation exceeds a level of 120 W\/m². It has no moving parts and uses 3 photodiodes with a specially designed diffuser to simulate sunny weather calculations. The output can be adjusted high or low to indicate sunny or sunny weather. Calculated direct irradiance values are also available. The csd3 is powered by 12V DC and has a built-in heater to repel rain,snow and frost. These are usually externally switched,but internal thermostats are optional. The humidity indicator clearly shows when the drying cylinder needs to be replaced. Waterproof plug and socket cable connection for easy installation and maintenance. Larger screws on the drying box make it easier to replace at long intervals.
