Shallow Water Micro-sensor for Dissolved Oxygen




The German AMT company's deep-sea membrane dissolved oxygen sensor is developed based on long-term monitoring and is also suitable for slow profiles. Dissolved oxygen sensors follow Ampere's rule. The anode is composed of a silver tube and is connected to the halogen electrolyte inside the sensor. The cathode consists of a glass body in which a platinum wire is set as the cathode. The rounded end of the sensor is a removable cover with built-in breathable membrane.


German AMT company's deep-sea dissolved oxygen sensor can be used in seawater,lakes and rivers (natural water or drinking water). Multi-core four-wire submarine cables are used to connect power and data acquisition systems. The power supply voltage of the sensor is 9-30V DC. The sensor consists of a titanium alloy pressure chamber,a top end with built-in replaceable electrolytes and membranes (the electrolytes and membranes used vary depending on the application),as well as a sensor cover and a titanium/neoprene Subconn underwater connector. The working water depth is 2000 dbar or 6000 dbar. The integrated circuit board is equipped with a lithium battery for continuous polarization of the sensor. When the sensor is connected to an external power supply,the continuous polarization of the sensor is switched off by an integrated switch. Dissolved oxygen sensors can be designed with different performance depending on the membrane used. Sensors usually use two membranes,an inner membrane for measurement and an outer membrane for protection.
