These incremental shaft encoders are combined with FAULHABER DC micromotors to indicate and control shaft speed and direction of rotation as well as positioning. The encoder is integrated into the SR series DC micromotor,and its overall length is only extended by 1.4 mm. The segmented disks provide magnetic fields that are detected and further processed by a monolithic sensor. The output signals of both channels consist of a 90° phase-shifted square wave signal with a maximum of 4096 pulses per motor revolution.,encoders have different standard resolutions. The supply voltages of the encoder and DC micromotor as well as the output signals of the two channels are connected via ribbon cables with connectors.
