u‑blox and frequency products provide synchronized multi-GNSS for cost-sensitive network edge devices,such as Small Cell and Femto wireless base stations. The LEA-M8F module can provide fully independent phase and frequency references based on data provided by GNSS,or can be used as part of a subsystem in conjunction with cellular sniffing (macro-sniff),synchronous Ethernet and packet The LEA-M8F module is equipped with a low-noise 30.72 MHz voltage-controlled temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO),which meets the main reference requirements of LTE Small Cell and can provide 100 ppb auto-hold accuracy. The LEA-M8F module can measure and control external TCXO or OCXO,and is suitable for TD-LTE systems,LTE-Advanced systems and other applications that require extended hold-up time. Supports external synchronous clock sources via time pulse,frequency input and message interfaces. Enables measurement data from macrocell sniffing,Synchronous Ethernet or packet to be combined with measurements from GNSS. u‑blox and frequency products feature integrity alarms that report uncertain phases and frequencies during normal operation and hold-up times. It also features a high dynamic range radio that reduces both analog and digital interference and can be designed to be incorporated into base stations in the region. Example application (Small Cell): In wireless Small Cell applications,the LEA-M8F can distribute an ordered low phase noise 30.72 Mhz reference signal directly to the RF transceiver. GNSS synchronization data can be combined with network source data by exchanging synchronization signals,status and control information with the baseband processor. The LEA-M8F or baseband application controls source selection and hold time.
