AlphaLab Model 1 Gaussmeter

The instrument is optimized and easy to use. It starts reading 1\/2 seconds after being turned on and updates four times per second. The stability is very good and the noise level is only 0.1 Gauss. Reproducibility at constant temperature is better than 1 part in 5000 and is generally limited only by the user's ability to position the sensor on the same part of the magnet as where it was originally measured (field strengths vary across the surface of most magnets). The complete response time to rapid magnetic field changes is only 1/4 seconds. No settings required,just a range (displays readings from 0.0 to 19999.9 Gauss,with a minus sign if the polarity is negative). Therefore,artifacts due to autoranging do not occur. These features make the Model1 faster to use than any other digital gaussmeter,while still being extremely easy to use. The only control is the offset,which allows subtraction of up to +\/-10 gauss of the environment field. (If not required,turn this knob to the middle position).
