The Rosemount Analytical 385 Retractable pH/ORP Sensor is designed to meet a wide range of industrial applications. It is specifically designed for applications where processes cannot be shut down and where it is difficult or impossible to provide a separate sample stream. The 385's body is constructed from standard titanium and Tefzel,allowing the sensor to be used in particularly dem applications,such as bleach lines in paper mills. The 385 Retractable pH/ORP Sensor is designed to fit standard 1-1/2-inch ball valves. This makes it ideal for replacing or updating any manufacturer's existing retractable pH/ORP sensors without process shutdown. The 1-1/2-inch ball valve even be installed initially without process shutdown at the required measuring point. Sensor removal is accomplished by retracting the sensor until it reaches the built-in mechanical stop (retraction requires no cables or chains). The ball valve then be closed,removing the inserted sensor from the process. There is almost no loss of process fluid and no pressure reduction during the entire process. Once the sensor is removed from the ball valve,it is easy to perform a buffer check or replace the disposable sensor tube. The 385 pH sensor features a triple-junction gel-filled reference cell as standard. Peripheral ceramic liquid contacts around the glass electrode base guarantee maximum service life even in solutions con ammonia,chlorine and other toxic ions. A plug-in,solid-state preamplifier is housed in a waterproof junction box as an integral part of the sensor. This preamplifier provides noise-free,long-distance transmission of pH/ORP signals to a remote analyzer such as the Rosement Analytical 3081 pH/ORP,54 pH/ORP,1054B pH/ORP,and many others.
