These specialized handheld search coil probes are optimized for measuring magnets fixed in components or installed in narrow gaps. They offer particular utility in applications where the use of traditional search coils is not possible or easy. The 8-inch long probe's embedded coil is placed directly next to the magnet to accurately measure flux density with our Model 480 Flux Meter,rather than sliding a tight spiral conductor around the magnet like a search coil. Available in two versions: The 100 cm2 field probe and the 30 cm2 field probe are most commonly used for narrow gap measurements or where magnetic field gradients require the use of smaller coil diameters.
