This 19" rackmount mixer is designed for use in small installations or small portable sound reinforcement systems in houses of worship and performance venues. It will also find friends in radio,where its high quality and feature set will be very attractive. Available in two variants,the GB2R offers 16 mono inputs to a stereo mix output,or the 12.2 version offers 12 mono inputs,two full-featured stereo inputs and 2 sets of busses,with 6 auxiliary sends per model. As always,the emphasis is on simple operation,clear and intuitive layout and the highest possible audio performance of the Soundcraft console. Soundcraft GB2R inherits the GB30 Mic preamplifier and GB30 equalizer design from GB4 and GB8. For ease of installation,the connector section is contained in a swiveling pod,allowing cable entry from the top of the blender if placed on a tabletop,or from the rear if mounted on a 19 rack. On the 12.2 model's stereo input,the connector can be used for both mic and line inputs. With the mic signal routed to the local channel,the line input can be used as a stereo return to the main mix bus. Two stereo returns and a 2-track (e.g. CD playback) input are provided,meaning the GB2R-12.2 model can provide up to 26 inputs,with the mixer only 19 (485mm) wide. Each input has a pre/post switchable direct output for recording or effects,while an internal universal voltage PSU eliminates external power connections. The entire GB range carries the hallmarks of quality that are synonymous with Soundcraft,with engineering and design as you’d expect from this high-end manufacturer. Careful attention has been paid to the mechanical construction to ensure reliability and sturdiness under tough conditions,with all input modules being built with individual vertical mounting PCB’s,mounted to the steel chassis front panel with individual nut potentiometers. \ n \ nMain features:
