The Soundcraft Si2+ is the big brother of the Si1+ and will appeal to those who want a compact,powerful digital console at a competitive price. It expands on the original Si2 by adding a further 16 mic inputs,text punch as standard and the option to swap the 16 mic inputs for an 8 mic input + 8 line output module if required. The Si2+ has a larger exhaust than its smaller brother and 64 mic inputs are mapped to 24 shots and four banks giving simple access to all channels while never neglecting audio and FX gains. Like the Si1+ and Si3+ there are four dedicated stereo line channels,four dedicated FX returns from four stereo Lexicon FX processors,8 balanced insert sends and 8 balanced insert returns. Si2+ completes 24 group/aux buses available at any time,8 matrix buses plus a complete complement of monitor talkback and main bus outputs. Four 64x64 channel expander slots allow further installation of I/O sources,inc connection of Soundcraft and Studer stage boxes. Directly from each mono channel provides an easy way to record each channel whether this is needed for later mix-down and production work or as a virtual soundcheck at the next gig!,like the Si3+ and Si1+ Si2+ use rotary encoding There are monitors and OLED screens on each channel,so engineers can mix sources without recourse to the central screen,an interface that many engineers will welcome. Four assignable on-board dictionary effects engines complement the 4 stereo inputs to provide a truly powerful package.
