German Thorode Company ( SONOTEC GmbH ) is a leading expert in ultrasonic measurement technology solutions. The technology company based in Halle (Saale) with around 200 employees develops and manufactures customer-specific ultrasonic transducers and sensors as well as test equipment and measurement technology solutions.
Growth through ultrasound innovation
SONOTEC was founded in early 1991 by physicists Dr. Santer zur Horst-Meyer and Hans-Joachim Münch and has been owner-managed since then. Since 2013, SONOTEC has had a sales and service subsidiary in Islandia, New York. SONOTEC US is a proud supplier to Warp Speed Project equipment manufacturers and vaccine manufacturers. As of April 2019, Manuela and Michael Münch have strengthened the management team of the German family business, with Dr. Santer zur Horst-Meyer remaining as consultant.
Today, we have approximately 200 employees and are a growing technology company established on the market as a supplier of products and solutions using ultrasonic measurement technology.
